A little bit on the new 7th season of Sabrina:
"On Friday ``Sabrina the Teenage Witch'' gets a complete makeover - only Melissa Joan Hart is the same (well, she and that mangy cat). Gone are Caroline Rhea (who leaves for the ignominy of afternoon television) and Beth Broderick, as Sabrina takes a job at a hip music magazine, run by Diana-Maria Riva (``Philly'') and staffed by Andrew Walker (``Maybe It's Me''), Bumper Robinson (``Behind Enemy Lines'') and John Ducey (``Deep Impact''). Demographically predictable music acts will guest on the show. Meanwhile, Sabrina also has new roommates - Soleil Moon Frye (``Punky Brewster'') and Elisa Donovan (``Clueless'')."

"With such a variety of quality programming, I was disappointed with some of my favorite returning series.
"Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" started the new season by ridding itself of one of its most bewitching personas -- supporting actress Beth Broderick. Sabrina is quickly outgrowing the teen years after only a couple of years of college and now is reporting for a music magazine.
By redirecting this show to reflect Melissa Joan Hart's real age, which is 26, "Sabrina" is bound to lose some of its fans. Aunts Hilda, played by Caroline Rhea, who left the show last season, and Zelda, Broderick's character, offered a more adult perspective. Without their influence, I'm left to wonder how Sabrina will extricate herself from many of the problems this young witch perpetually creates."

The 7th season of "Sabrina, The Teenage Witch" (The WB, Fridays 20:30) started last week. This season will proberly be the last one (the cast is tired of the show). Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, now beginning its seventh season with a fresh new look, new characters and exciting guest stars. "This season, the bewitching comedy will conjure up a new brew of "firsts" for Sabrina (Hart) as she makes the leap from adolescence to adulthood and sets out to reinvent herself as an independent young professional." (source -The WB) The new season includes many new cast memebers
such as: Annie (Diana-Maria Riva, Philly, What Women Want), Cole (Andrew Walker, Maybe It's Me), James (Bumper Robinson, Behind Enemy Lines), Leonard (John Ducey, Deep Impact).

Well despite appearing on 'Sabrina The Teenage Witch' with Melissa Joan Hart and doing the 'Crazy' video together, Melissa tells Carson Daly of MTV's Total Request Live that the two don't stay in touch. "She's a busy girl," Melissa explained. When Carson informed her Spears was taking six months off, she responded, "Is she? Maybe she'll call." The comment drew laughter and 'awwes'. Then she talked about Britney and Justin Timberlake of *NSYNC breaking up, drawing boos. "It is true," Melissa said. "It's not like we broke news or anything. "'Sabrina' Gets A Job"

LOS ANGELES -- "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" is growing up, and that means she's making some new friends.
The WB comedy, which has moved from high school to college, will be entering a new world this fall as Sabrina (Melissa Joan Hart) joins the staff of a music magazine.
Although "Sabrina" is growing up, there's only so far that she can go. Due to rights issues with the show's source material, Harvey Comics, the perky blonde witch has a squeaky-clean reputation that must be maintained.
"We want to try to contemporize that world and give her story lines that reflect her world a little more realistically," says Jordan Levin, The WB's president of entertainment. "We do so to the extent that we can."
